Wherever there is surf in the Philippines there is sure to coconut lined shores. The coco nut is great for stringing a hammock out of, but not so for shade. This is where the great Talisay comes into its own. For down time between session nothing better than hanging, eaten, maybe a bit of chess under the Talisay.

Some local kids I met strolling down the a road earlier were now just outside my house. The subdivision is actually built on a wetland, probably once an area extremely rich in endemic biodiversity, now continually being buried under houses.But the kids know it still holds some wildlife - baki or frogs.
